Over-sized load to cause delays on Highway 43

Mar 8, 2025 | 12:00 PM

An oversized load will be causing some delays on Highway 43 over the next two days.

The Alberta government says an over-sized load left Thermo Design Engineering in Edmonton on Saturday, March 8 and has been travelling north.

Due to its size, the load is moving at a pace of 30km/h and is taking up the entire road including the shoulder, causing occasional delays for drivers.

Motorists are asked to watch for guide vehicles, flag people, closed intersections, and at times a police escort as this over-sized load makes its way to Altagas.

According to the province, the load will also “occasionally travel against traffic flow.”
