No wildfires burning in Grande Prairie Forest Area

As we enter day 11 of Alberta’s wildfire season there are still currently no fires burning in the Grande Prairie Forest Area.

However, one wildfire is still burning in the Peace River Forest Area, it is listed as under control and less then a hectare in size.

Residents are being reminded that wildfires can still start in cooler temperatures, and the risk will increase as snow melts and dry vegetation is exposed.

Anyone that receives direct Grande Prairie Forest Area wildfire updates in their email from the province are being given a heads up that the online source for updates has moved to a new page, and they will need to subscribe to continue receiving the updates in their emails.
