City of Grande Prairie opens applications for 2026 Community Group Funding

Applications are now open for the City of Grande Prairie’s Community Group Funding Cycle.

The program is a City funding stream for programs and services run by community groups that benefit the community and residents.

The stream was updated for the next funding cycle with increased parameters for capital requests, and the introduction of new funding streams at different levels.

The applications for the funding are open until April 30.

The funding is split up into four options: Small grants up to $10,000, Medium grants up to $25,000, large grants over $25,000 and Capital grants, which cover up to 50 percent of the total project cost.

The City will be hosting support sessions April 3 to teach interested community groups how to apply.
