Storm

The Grande Prairie Storm ended the regular season dropping back to back home games against Lloydminster, the squad they will be matched up with in the first round of the AJHL playoffs.

Friday night was a high scoring affair. Grande Prairie’s Colin Doherty potted a pair, but it wasn’t enough as the Storm lost 7-5

The next night, two goal deficits proved to be the Storm’s kryptonite as they dropped that game 5-3.

They will now kick off their best of seven series with the Bobcats with another two game home stand starting Friday night at 7 p.m.

Game 2 is set for Saturday at 6 p.m.

NWJHL

La Crete leads Fort St. John 2-0 in the Northwest Junior Hockey League final.

The Lumber Barons won 4-3 Saturday and 5-3 Sunday, both at home.

The series resumes Friday in Fort St. John.

NPHL

The North Peace Hockey League final will resume Tuesday.

Manning will be in Falher for Game 4.

Face-off time will be 8:30 p.m.

The Pirates won 6-4 in Manning on Saturday to take a 2-1 series lead.
