Hans O. Hommy Memorial Society seeking to transfer Hommy Park recreation lease to County of Grande Prairie

The Hans O. Hommy Memorial Society is looking to transfer ownership of Hommy Park’s recreation lease to the County of Grande Prairie.
Society representatives attended last night’s County Council meeting to express their desire for the transfer, highlighting challenges they are facing like aging volunteers and limited capacity.
Council approved the Hommy Park and Campground Management Plan as presented and directed administration to request the lease transfer.
Mr. Milton Hommy attended the meeting and he and his family were thanked by Council for their dedication and hard work.
