AJHL Community Ambassador Award nominations released

As the Grande Prairie Storm busted out their brooms to celebrate their first-round sweep of the Lloydminster Bobcats on Wednesday night, one of their own was selected for a prestigious league award.
Grande Prairie Storm forward Will Harris was selected as GP’s nomination for the RBC AJHL Community Ambassadors Award, which recognizes off-ice contributions; volunteering, community involvement, and inspiring their squads to get involved with their towns and cities “in meaningful ways.”
From the 12 nominations, two players will be chosen and given a $1,000 scholarship from RBC.
As part of this initiative, RBC also pledged a toonie to Food Banks Alberta for every powerplay goal this regular season, amounting to $1,056.
