High Prairie RCMP arrest two suspects in I&P Mechanic break-in, third suspect to be identified

Mar 27, 2025 | 11:03 AM

High Prairie RCMP are reporting that two suspects have been arrested in connection to a series of break and enters in the High Prairie area.

On March 15, a break-and-enter at I&P Mechanic was recorded by camera, allowing Mounties to identify two of the three suspects.

Thirty-three-year-old Chelsie Courtney Lamouche of Atikameg First Nation and 30-year-old Jake Bouchard of High Prairie have been arrested and face several charges, including break-and-enter, theft over $5000, and mischief under $5000.

Lamouche and Bouchard were brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody, with Lamouche to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Prairie April 2, and Bouchard to appear before the same court March 31.

High Prairie RCMP Sgt. Jason Barber says adding security cameras can help protect your property by deterring potential criminal activity and making it easier to identify and arrest suspects if a crime is committed.

High Prairie RCMP are still looking for the third suspect, who was seen brandishing a firearm during the incident, and are seeking the public to contact the detachment at 780-523-3378 or crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8377 (TIPS) if you have any information.
