No provincial title for the Fahler Pirates, Hockey Alberta cancels provincials

The Fahler Pirates won’t get the chance to play for the title of best Senior AA Men’s team in the province as Hockey Alberta has cancelled the tournament.
Set to take place from April 3 to 6 in Lethbridge, Hockey Alberta says they had to cancel as only three teams from three of Alberta’s five leagues committed to playing.
In the release, Hockey Alberta said the tournament was “no longer viable or truly representative of a provincial championship, and “we look forward to future opportunities to showcase senior aa hockey in Alberta.”
