Province announces pre-planning funding for school projects

The province says it is giving school divisions $1.1 million for pre-planning of 24 school projects around Alberta.

This includes the French school board in Grande Prairie and the Peace River School Division for projects in Fairview and Peace River.

The government says in a release that pre-planning can result in an idea that is better prepared for funding consideration.

This step can also give school boards a chance to consult with the community and parents on what they would like to see in a school project.

The province does caution that not all these projects getting funding will get to the next step in the process.
