Grande Prairie Primary Care Network hosting upcoming Social Prescribing information sessions

Grande Prairie Primary Care Network and the City of Grande Prairie are partnering up to host a series of information sessions in late April and early May about connecting residents with non-medical supports.

Residents 55 years and older are invited to attend these sessions on Social Prescribing, an initiative launched earlier this year to support adults facing isolation, mental health challenges, or difficulties accessing essential resources.

The information sessions will inform attendees how social prescribing can help them, or someone they care about, connect with services like transportation, meal programs, and recreational activities.

Information Session Details:

April 28

  • Eastlink Centre: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • Golden Age Centre: 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

May 2

  • Eastlink Centre: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

May 6

  • Golden Age Centre: 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
