Grande Prairie residents arrested for drug trafficking paraphernalia

Grande Prairie RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit arrested two city residents for drug related offences on Thursday April 10, after conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle that had previously fled RCMP.

A search of the vehicle revealed 125 grams of methamphetamine, 30 grams of fentanyl, and over $2,000 in cash.

Forty-five-year-old Timothy Kelly of Grande Prairie has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x2)
  • Possession of proceeds of crime
  • Possession of weapon while prohibited (x4)
  • Obstruct police officer
  • Dangerous driving
  • Failure to comply with release order (x2)
  • Driving while unauthorized

Thirty-year-old Jasmine Potter, has been charged with:

  • Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • One count of possession of proceeds of crime

Kelly and Potter were brought before a Justice of the Peace.

Potter was released on conditions while Kelly was remanded into custody.

They were to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie on April 14, 2025.
