The City of Grande Prairie is acknowledging the day as one for us to remember and mourn the approximately six million Jewish people killed during the holocaust and to honour the resilience of the survivors.

The day is observed on the 27th of Nisan in the Hebrew calendar and varies each year, with the day to next taking place April 13-14 in 2026.
