Suspected Abduction

Search continues for two missing children and two wanted adults

The Alberta Major Crime Unit is still looking for Lanakai and Karl Morrison. 

Mounties believe the two children, aged six and four respectively, are with their mother, 35-year-old Krista Morrison and Karl’s father, 35-year-old Daniel Ludwig. 

Both adults are “wanted by police for abduction in contravention of a custody/parenting order,” says a news release from the RCMP. 

Police had said earlier that Lanakai was abducted from Valhalla Centre on July 7. 

RCMP say there were signs that they were in the Okanagan Valley near Vernon and may have been travelling towards the East Kootenays. 

Authorities say they could be in northern B.C., the Yukon or Alberta. 

They were last believed to be in a red 2006 Ford F350, but may also be in a motorhome. 

Lanakai (pictured above) is described as having a slight build, long light-brown hair, and brown eyes.

Karl is “described as a 4-year-old with blond hair” in that same release.

Krista Morrison is described as 5’8″, medium build, long dark brown hair and brown eyes.
