Dawson, Team Canada at Pan Pacific Swimming Championships

Grande Prairie swimmer Oliver Dawson and his Team Canada teammates are in Irvine, California, for the 2026 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. 

The outdoor swimming part of the competition was held earlier this week, with the pool portion starting today (Wednesday, August 12). 

Among the events on the Wednesday schedule is the mixed 4 x 100 mixed medley relay, a race in which Dawson and Team Canada won a bronze medal at last year’s World Aquatics Championships. 

The breaststroke events, Dawson’s specialty, start Thursday with the 100 metre race, followed by the 50 metre on Friday and the 200 metre on Saturday.
