Chamber hires new CEO

The Grande Prairie and District Chamber of Commerce has hired its new Chief Operating Officer.

Tanya Oliver comes from Bonnyville, and Chamber Chair Cris Seppola-Podsada says she comes with a chamber background.

“She’s been the Executive Director of the Bonnyville Chamber for the last nine years and we are really pleased to have her here. She also has ties here in Grande Prairie through family and she did attend school in Grande Prairie for a number of years so she is familiar with the community.”

Her official first day is June 18th but she will be at a chamber event next week.

“We’ll say it was stressful to fill this position, Dan Pearcy has done such an amazing job for the chamber, our community for the last 12 years and we are looking forward to Tanya being another long-term person who will become a part of our community and will help make our community better and our chamber better.”
