The August long weekend in Alberta came to an end with six people killed in separate highway crashes.
Two men and a woman died early this morning and another woman was airlifted to a Calgary hospital when two vehicles collided on Highway 22 near Priddis.
Hours earlier, a collision involving a truck and a sport-utility vehicle in the Sylvan Lake region killed two men and a five-year-old child.
Another child, who is seven, is in stable condition in an Edmonton hospital.
