Gas leak in north Grande Prairie

Update 12:20 p.m.: Businesses in the area are still open and some access points have been re-opened to traffic. ATCO crews are still at the scene.

Apr. 30 7:27 a.m.: There is a gas leak in the north part of Grande Prairie.

According to city officials, it is in the 121 Ave. area.

Area businesses and transit could be affected for the entire day.

ATCO Gas and the fire department are on scene, but the source of the leak has not been found and the area is barricaded for safety.
