Controlled burns in Sturgeon Lake

A controlled burn to reduce the wildfire hazard is due to start in Sturgeon Lake today.
 
The burn is being done to remove possible wildfire fuel from ditches, ATV trails, and open fields.
 
This will also be used as an opportunity to train new firefighters.
 
If the weather allows, the burns will continue for two weeks.
