A’s move into 1st place following road win Thursday

The Grande Prairie Athletics are in the top spot in both the West division and the North Peace Hockey League.

This after a big 8-5 road win Thursday night on the road in Dawson Creek against the Canucks.

The game also marked the first loss of the season for Dawson Creek.

With the win, the Athletics now sit with a 5-1-1 record on the year and will be looking to increase their lead a top the West division when they travel to Fort St.John Friday for a battle with the Flyers.

Elsewhere Thursday night, the Grimshaw Huskies doubled up the High Prairie Regals 10-5.
