Bus service will continue in Grande Prairie once Greyhound closes

Aug 2, 2018 | 7:28 AM

Passenger and freight bus service in Grande Prairie will continue once Greyhound shuts down this fall.

Bill Fehr with METOBE Transport – a greyhound agent – says they will be teaming up with another business to provide the service.

“Cold Shot (Courier Services) is going to be the main distributor, they are the ones buying the shuttle buses. So basically, they are the ones becoming the Greyhound. He is providing the buses and the drivers for the buses and we will be his commission agents now.”

He says the demand is there for the service with between 40 to 60 people leaving Grande Prairie and about the same coming back per day.
