Tough weekend for GPAC clubs on the road

Both the GPAC Midget and Bantam AAA clubs were on the road this past weekend for a pair of games, and both struggled away from Grande Prairie.

The Golden Arrow Bantam AAA Storm were on the wrong side of a 7-1 decision to the Knights of Columbus Squires Saturday and didn’t fair much better Sunday as they fell 9-2 to the Leduc Oil Kings.

The Bantam AAA Storm are now 1-14-1 on the year and will return home for a pair of games against Fort Saskatchewan this coming weekend.

The Grande Peace Ernies Sports Midget AAA Storm were down south for their contests.

Saturday they were doubled up by Lethbridge 6-3, and trounced in Calgary by the Royals 7-4.

The Midget AAA storm 8-7-3 on the year but remain in 2nd place in the North division.

They will head back down south this coming weekend for games against Okotoks and Red Deer.
