Correction: Trump-DNC Lawsuit story
NEW YORK — In an April 20 story about the Democratic National Committee filing a lawsuit over Russian meddling in the 2016 election, The Associated Press reported erroneously that U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz accused former FBI Director James Comey of damaging Hillary Clinton’s chances against Donald Trump during a private briefing in January 2017. In fact, she made the accusation on April 16 during an exchange with reporters in her district office in Florida, according to the Sun Sentinel newspaper.
