Ralph Jarratt and Kaden Reinders of the Victoria Royals will have a tough task in the opening round of the WHL playoffs which begins Friday night.

The pair of peace region blue liners will be looking to try and shutdown a Kamloops Blazers squad who climbed out of a 7-point deficit late in the season and were able to claim the final playoff spot after winning the Tie-Breaker game Tuesday against Grande Prairie’s Schael Higson and the Kelowna Rockets.

Jarratt, 20, from Fort St,John is in his 5th and final season with the Royals. However, during the regular season the veteran d-man only got into 32 games where he registered 6 goals and 9 assists.
