Pair of jailed former police officers launch appeals

Two of three former Calgary police officers found guilty of misusing department computers and harassing a woman involved in a custody battle have launched appeals.

Bryan Morton and Bradford McNish are appealing both their convictions and sentences, citing errors by the trial judge.

Morton was sentenced last week to 30 months, while McNish got six months.

Their trial heard that McNish, Morton and a third man, Anthony Braille, were paid thousands of dollars to monitor the movements of the ex-wife of Calgary businessman Ken Carter.
