Nielsen & Giants head to Spokane with 2-0 series lead

Fort St.John’s Tristan Nielsen and the Vancouver Giants had a thrilling weekend at home.

Following a 4-1 win in Game 1 Friday night, Nielsen’s Giants came back from a 2-0 deficit in the 3rd period Saturday in Game 2 to claim a 4-2 win and a 2-0 series lead.

The four goals came in a 3:21 span.

The series will now shift to Spokane for games 3 & 4 which are set for Tuesday and Wednesday.

In the first two games of the series Nielsen has 1 assist.

However, in 12 post-season games the Fort St.John native has 3 goals and 8 assists and is tied for 9th in playoff scoring.
