Adult female confirmed dead after incident near Bezanson

An adult female is dead after an incident at a rural residence near Bezanson today.

Just after 9 a.m. this morning RCMP and Emergency Services responded to the home and discovered the body of an adult female.

The scene is secure and there is no concern for public safety at this time.

RCMP Major Crimes North has taken over the investigation.

Earlier today, our newsroom received a number of reports that upwards of 20 police vehicles were seen speeding eastbound on Highway 43.

There were also ambulances travelling from the same direction and from Valleyview.

STARS was dispatched but they were stood down as EMS deemed them not medically necessary.
