Road closures in City, County

City Hall says putting in a new water line on the west side means a partial closure on 84 Avenue starting today.

The right turn lane onto 116 Street will be closed while a water line is put in for the new Kensington development.

A detour will be in place on 113 Street and 89 Avenue.

The city says there may be some minor traffic delays.

The closure should last about a week.

The County of Grande Prairie says Range Road 64 between Township Roads 710 and 711A is closed.

County and ATCO crews are working on a gas line in preparation for future road construction.

The work should be finished in the third week of May, depending on the weather.

Part of the road can still be used by local traffic. Detours are in place.
