Pedestrian targeted by hit-and-run driver

Calgary Police say a suspected hit-and-run driver who went into medical distress after being Tasered and later died knew the man he is suspected of mowing down.

Deputy chief Ryan Ayliffe says it appears the pedestrian was targeted.

Police were called by a witness where a pedestrian had suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision with a vehicle.

Officers provided life-saving measures to the man who was transported to hospital.
