A man from Edmonton has been charged after RCMP pulled a vehicle over last Wednesday night and found drugs.

On April 24, just before midnight, Grande Prairie RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit conducted a traffic stop after they noticed the vehicle’s license plate belonged to a different vehicle.

Officers seized approximately 29 grams of fentanyl, 72 grams of cocaine, 81 grams of methamphetamine and $2,000 in Canadian currency.

The driver of the vehicle, 29-year-old Alec Levin, was also wanted on a number of outstanding warrants.

Levin has been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime and five counts of failing to comply with release documents.

He is due in Grande Prairie Provincial Court May 29.
