Peace River vehicle fire becomes grass fire

A pick up fire led a grass fire in Peace River Thursday.
A release from the Town says the vehicle fire was first spotted at 1:45 p.m near the 12 Foot Davis gravesite.
Firefighters were called in, but the blaze quickly spread to some nearby grass on Peace River’s East Hill.
Helicopters from Alberta Agriculture and Forestry have been called in.
The fire is listed as being held .
The Town says no structures are threatened. The public is asked to avoid the area.
