School bus full of kids pepper sprayed

May 14, 2019 | 12:19 PM

Edmonton police believe a school bus packed with children was in the wrong place at the wrong time when it was pepper-sprayed during an altercation involving people in two vehicles.

The bus was parked on a street in the city’s southwest Monday afternoon when the vehicles drove by and one occupant sprayed the bus.

Investigators say the bus wasn’t deliberately targeted, but got caught in some sort of fight.

Two children got sick while the rest of the students suffered irritated eyes, but no one had to go to hospital.

The students from Holy Cross Academie Internationale were loaded onto another vehicle.

The Edmonton Catholic School Division says a Grade 7 student who was on the bus stayed home on Tuesday, but the rest showed up for classes.
