New sitting of legislature starts with accusations from both sides

May 24, 2019 | 7:02 AM

Premier Jason Kenney and Opposition Leader Rachel Notley swapped charges of criminal behaviour, sexual misconduct and harbouring rule-breakers in the first session since Kenney defeated Notley in the provincial election.

Notley demanded to know why Kenney was allowing Calgary member Peter Singh to sit in the United Conservative caucus after his business was raided during an RCMP investigation into Kenney’s leadership campaign.

Kenney then asked if Notley would like to identify which two members of her former government caucus had been accused of serious sexual misconduct.
