Region that includes the Peace has Alberta’s lowest unemployment rate

Statistics Canada says the area that includes the Peace Country had the lowest unemployment rate in Alberta last month.

It stood at 5.7 per cent, the same as it was in May. Wood Buffalo-Cold Lake was at 5.8 per cent.

The unemployment rate for the area that includes the BC Peace had a big drop last month.

It fell to 6.6 per cent in June after coming in at 8.3 per cent in May.

The unemployment rate across Alberta dropped to 6.6 per cent in June from 6.8 per cent the month before.
