Thunderstorm watches in place for some areas of the Peace

Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm watches for the Fairview, Peace River, High Prairie, and Manning areas.

Saddle Hills and Birch Hills Counties north into Northern Sunrise and Northern Lights Counties are included in the watch area.

The weather office says storms could start Monday afternoon and go into Monday evening.

Rain, wind, and hail are all possible.

A similar watch is out for the High Level and Fort Vermilion areas.
