Alberta post-secondary schools given time to come up with so-called freedom of speech policies

The Alberta government is giving post-secondary schools more time to come up with policies that would protect controversial groups and speakers from being censored on campus.
Schools will now have until December 15th to implement so-called freedom of speech policies.
In recent years, some Canadian campuses have cancelled appearances by controversial speakers such as Jordan Peterson following public backlash.
The provincial government says that’s a problem.
