Grande Prairie MLA named to Premier’s Council on the Status of Person with Disabilities

Aug 16, 2019 | 11:49 AM

Grande Prairie MLA Tracy Allard will have some new responsibilities moving forward.

Friday morning it was announced that Allard was appointed to the Premier’s Council of the Status of Persons with Disabilities.

The Council works to provide equal opportunities for anyone in the province with disabilities, and help and support them in anyway they can.

The disability community provides their questions and concerns to the Council who then address the issues to the Provincial Government.

“As a government representative on the Premier’s Council, I will continue building an effective relationship between the council and government. I look forward to meeting with the disability community to learn more about issues that are important,” stated Allard in a Press release.

The goal of the council is to help Albertans with disabilities reach their full potential and live a normal life.
