Prospects shine in annual Brian Nash game

Aug 20, 2019 | 7:11 AM

Hockey has officially returned to Revolution Place as the Grande Prairie Storm hosted their 10th annual Brian Nash game Monday night.

It was a chance for the 40 hopefuls to impress the Storm brass in their first taste of game action since camp began on Friday.

When all was said and done, Team Yellow walked away with a 6-2 victory.

The team featured returning players Jackson Wozniak, Ethan Strang, Nathan Morgan, Jarin Sutton, and Lars Kaliel.

Devin Sutton netted a hat-trick for Team Yellow in the win, while GPAC product Dayne Tews, Kaeden Tenkoppel, and Jackson Wozniak added the others.

Jackson Savoie and Lukas Konashuk found the back of the net for Team Blue.

The Storm will now get ready for exhibition play, which begins on Friday.

The team is traveling to B.C for a three-game pre-season road trip.

They will begin the trip Friday night in Vernon against the Vipers.
