Cold snap nearing an end in Grande Prairie and Alberta
After a long period of bitter cold weather, it looks like there is finally light at the end of the tunnel for Grande Prairie and the Province of Alberta.
The cold front that has gripped the entire province appears to be ending by early next week.
Here in Grande Prairie, the weather is expected to warm up by Monday. Environment Canada is calling for a high of minus seven on Monday, and minus three and minus four on Tuesday and Wednesday.
“We are looking for a warming trend from the current cold snap here. No records set in the Grande Prairie area during the last few days, but still cold enough with temperatures well below normal. Certainly, a big recovery is expected right now and the trend is we’ll be warming up early next week,” said Dan Kulak of Environment Canada.
