Floods cause road hazards in both MD of Fairview and Birch Hills County

The Municipal District of Fairview and Birch Hills County have both issued alerts for overland flooding Tuesday.

The flooding in the MD has created traffic hazards on multiple municipal roads.

Drivers in the area are asked to use caution when on the roads, to follow the directions of local authorities, and to not drive around or move barricades as many roads are washed out.

Flooding is also being reported throughout the entire Birch Hills County, creating hazardous driving conditions and road closures.

The public is being asked to be cautious around areas known to easily flood, such as streams and drainage channels.
