Overland flooding is occurring in low lying areas throughout Big Lakes County.
The Alberta Emergency Alert reports that excessive spring runoff is causing rivers, streams, and creeks to overflow their banks, resulting in overland flooding in multiple areas of the County.
Several County roads are affected by the floods.
The public is asked to avoid rivers, valleys, low lying areas, and flooded areas. Drivers are asked not to travel through barricaded or flooded roads.
