More than 40 per cent of Peace Region crop combined says Alberta Agriculture

The September 29 crop report from Alberta Agriculture says 42.6 per cent of the Peace Country crop had been combined as of that date.

The completion percentages by crop were 83.2 for peas, 44.3 for barley, 42.3 for spring wheat, 36.8 for oats and 31.3 for canola.

Last week’s report said 25.5 per cent of the combining in this area had been finished.

The five-year average for completion percentage at this time of year is 36, the 10-year average is 52 per cent complete.
