Five charged in June murder of Clairmont teen
The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit’s investigation into the June 11, 2020, homicide of 19-year-old Kyler Dean Commandeur of Clairmont has resulted in a number of arrests and charges, including three people who are facing a charge of first degree murder
The charges come after the victim was found along the roadside of Highway 677, near the Woking turnoff just west of Highway 2 (about 50 km north of downtown Grande Prairie), on the morning of June 11 just after 9 a.m.
On September 24, authorities arrested 28-year-old Justin John Bishop of Clairmont and charged him with first degree murder. Following a judicial hearing he was remanded into custody. His next scheduled appearance in Grande Prairie Provincial Court is on November 23.
On September 25, 34-year-old Krista Marie Healey of Grande Prairie was arrested and charged with accessory to murder after the fact. Following a judicial hearing she was remanded into custody and is next scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on November 25.
