Nine COVID-19 recoveries recorded in City of Grande Prairie

There were no new COVID-19 cases recorded in the City of Grande Prairie for Wednesday, while there were also nine more recoveries identified for November 25.

The active case total in the Swan City has now decreased to 76 as of November 25, alongside 379 recoveries and four deaths.

Elsewhere, there were three new cases and four recoveries recorded in the County of Grande Prairie, dropping the active case total there to 37.

No new cases and one recovery were recorded in the MD of Greenview, where there are now 29 active cases

Updated case totals among Peace Region municipalities as of the end of day November 25 are as follows:

  • City of Grande Prairie: 459 cases (76 active, 379 recovered, four deaths)
  • County of Grande Prairie: 166 cases (37 active, 128 recovered, one death)
  • M.D. of Greenview: 83 cases (39 active, 43 recovered, one death)
  • Birch Hills County: Six cases (one active, five recovered)
  • M.D. of Spirit River: 29 cases (one active, 28 recovered)
  • Saddle Hills County: Eight cases (all recovered)
  • M.D. of Smoky River: 79 cases (two active, 67 recovered, ten deaths)
  • Big Lakes County: 56 cases (two active, 49 recovered, five deaths)
  • M.D. of Lesser Slave River: 44 cases (13 active, 31 recovered)
  • M.D. of Peace: 113 cases (25 active, 88 recovered)
  • M.D. of Fairview: 51 cases (five active, 45 recovered, one death)
  • Clear Hills County: 98 cases (97 recovered, one death)
  • Northern Sunrise County: 16 cases (one active, 15 recovered)
  • County of Northern Lights: 67 cases (three active, 64 recovered)
  • Mackenzie County: 428 cases (seven active, 408 recovered, 13 deaths)

There were 1,077 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Alberta for November 25, after 15,932 tests were processed. Those tests came back with a 6.8 per cent positivity rate.

Alberta Health is also reporting 10 new deaths related to COVID-19 for Wednesday, bringing the Alberta death toll to 510.

Hospitalizations grew to 383 as of the end of day Wednesday (191 of which are in Edmonton and 132 are in Calgary), with 84 of those individuals in an ICU.

In the North Zone there are 19 people in hospital, three of whom are in intensive care.
