Jan 8, 2021 | 2:43 PM

The new Savanna Water Treatment Plant and Truckfill located in Saddle Hills County is now fully operational and available for public use.

The new facility is located two and a half kilometers East of the Savanna school, north of Highway 681.

The new plant will provide potable water through a truckfill as well as a jugfill bringing potable water closer to residents in the north end of the county.

According to Saddle Hills County, the plan is to provide potable water to residents, businesses and industry through an integrated system.

The total cost of the project was $12 million and construction began in the summer of 2019.

Residents who already have a potable water account with the County can use their key fob at the new truckfill. Residents can set up a potable water account at the County Complex from Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Every customer is entitled to one free fob during the 1st year of service. Additional fobs will cost $15.00.
