Possible exposure to COVID-19 at St. Clement, St. Catherine School in Grande Prairie

The Grande Prairie and District Catholic School Division says a number of students may have been exposed to COVID-19, after a teacher who works at both St. Clement and St. Catherine School has tested positive.

In a letter sent to families on Sunday, Superintendent Karl Germann says the teacher unknowingly came to work infected on Feb. 3, and tested positive on Saturday, Feb. 6.

The letter states Grade K-7 at St. Clement and select Grade K and 3 classes at St. Catherine have been affected. The letter adds only those who have been identified as a close contact will be contacted by AHS, which had identified about 200 staff and students who are now transitioning to online classes.
