May 17, 2021 | 7:05 PM
The wildfire danger in the Grande Prairie Forest Area has been dropped down to low as rain, and even possibly some wet snow, is in the forecast over the coming days.
With that, Alberta Wildfire has also lifted the fire advisory for the region.
Alberta Wildfire also reminds residents that they are required to have a fire permit if they plan on burning in the FPA, with the exception of a campfire.
Since March 1, 34 wildfires have been recorded in the Grande Prairie area, burning nearly 58 hectares.
