Traffic signals being installed at St. John Paul II intersection
The City of Grande Prairie is installing traffic signals along 132 Avenue at the intersection with St. John Paul II Catholic High School.
The city says this is to provide controlled access to the school, with the goal of helping with traffic flow around the school site during peak times.
The lights are expected to be operational by the beginning of the school year.
“They are going to look similar to the ones that we installed for the downtown (rehab) project,” explains Project Technologist Andrew Booth, pointing to the lights installed on 102 Avenue at 100 Street and 102 Street.
