Memorial arrangements announced for longtime Grande Prairie city councillor Helen A. Rice

A funeral service for long-time Grande Prairie city councillor Helen Rice will be held next Wednesday, November 24, at 3 p.m. in the city’s downtown arena.

Rice, who was a mainstay on city council for almost 38 years, passed away on November 7 at the age of 77.

She was also the former head of the Grande Prairie Downtown Association for 17 years, as well as a former president and board member of the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association.
