Four new wildfires recorded in Grande Prairie Forest Management area

Lightning sparked the start of four new wildfires overnight Monday in the Grande Prairie forest management area.

The province says none of the fires are threatening any communities at this time.

There are now seven active wildfires in the region – four are listed as under control and three are listed as being held.

There have been 52 wildfires in the GP Forest Management area since March 1st, burning a combined 96 hectares of land.
