Volunteer teams still needed for Rotary Food Bank drive

The annual Rotary Food Bank drive goes Thursday night in Grande Prairie.

Starting at 6 pm, teams will spread out across the city, going door to door to collect donations of non-perishable food items for the Grande Prairie Salvation Army Food Bank.

As of Wednesday morning, organizers said they were short about 50 teams for this year’s food drive.

Teams can still register online at gpfooddrive.ca, or they can sign up in person at 5:30 tonight at the old ATCO location, about 2 blocks south of the Royal Bank on Resources Road.

This is the first time that the food bank drive has been held since 2019.
